Short Biography
Dr. Meng-Hsiun Tsai is a Taiwanese biologist who specializes in immunology, infectious diseases, and genomics. He received his PhD in biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and conducted postdoctoral research at the Harvard School of Public Health.
In recent years, Dr. Tsai has shifted his research focus to translational medicine, data mining, and big data analysis. He has made significant research contributions and continues to deepen his expertise in these areas as a visiting scholar. In 2011, Dr. Tsai focused on developing a colorectal cancer vaccine while at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine. In 2018, he went to the Johns Hopkins University Institute for Clinical and Translational Research to conduct in-depth research on the comorbidity of diabetes and cancer. These achievements reflect Dr. Tsai’s outstanding research capabilities and contributions to the field.
Upon returning to Taiwan, Dr. Tsai continued to make significant research contributions in the areas of ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer, endometrial cancer, skin cancer, and related fields. He has also collaborated with other professors and organizations to develop technologies for biometrics using brainwave signals and DNA sequences. He continues to apply artificial intelligence to the development of biometrics, leading the way in SOTA smart healthcare technologies in Taiwan.
